This design is based on a Sam Tai (a small town in the northeast of Laos known as the heart of Lao weaving) Tai Daeng (Red Tai) sinh hem (tdin sinh) design. Similar to the other wall hangings we carry from Taykeo, the "thick" use of Lao silk creates a textile with three dimensional qualities that begs to be touched. This wall hanging is impressive, a masterpiece, and would look dramatic against a white wall or place on top of a white comforter.
